Charitable Causes

St. Johns is not just the place where we build homes, it’s also the place where we’ve chosen to live and raise our own families. Building up our community has two meanings to us: it’s about creating spaces for families to live, but also about supporting those in our community who are less fortunate. For this reason, we are actively engaged with several charitable causes.

Clays for a Cause

Clays for a Cause is our premier annual event that brings together employees, trade partners, vendors, bankers, and others who have contributed to our business for a friendly clay-shooting tournament. It began in 2012 as a way to celebrate the holidays and give back to our community, and has grown into one of the most anticipated fundraisers of the year.

Our 6th annual Clays for a Cause sporting clay shoot was held on December 13, 2018 at Saltwaters Shooting Club in St. Augustine. It was the largest to date with over 300 registered participants raising $112,400 for St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) and Seamark Ranch.

Our Clays for a Cause event has raised more than $250,000 for local charities benefiting children and families. St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS) is a local, nonprofit that helps shape the future of Florida’s at-risk youth by providing coaching, counseling, and care in family-style therapeutic group homes and outpatient community services.  Seamark Ranch  is a faith-based home for children of broken families located in Green Cove Springs and has served over 100 children with its homes, on-campus school, and childcare programs.

We encourage you to visit each charity’s website and see opportunities to get involved. Donating time is just as valuable as money.

Builder’s Care

It’s always heartwarming to see a family settling into their new home. However, there are many people – even in our own community – who live in houses that are in desperate need of repair and cannot afford the reconstruction costs. Builder’s Care is a charitable arm of Northeast Florida Builder’s Association (NEFBA) that helps elderly, low income, and disabled residents, including veterans, that are living in dilapidated housing fix up their homes. These repairs provide a better quality of life by making homes more livable, safer, and handicapped-accessible.

For every home sold, we donate $100 to Builder’s Care. We believe that everyone deserves to live in dignity, with basic comforts, and without the fear they will be forced out of their homes.

Corporate Giving

As a community homebuilder, we have the tools and skills that it takes to, well, build things. We are happy to donate time and resources to local projects to help further enhance our beautiful community.

Here are just some of the projects we have completed in the St. Johns and St. Augustine areas:

  • Arranged and organized seven new homes for Operation New Hope
  • Developed land and built five homes for Metro North Community Development
  • Helped build homes for Habitat for Humanity.
  • Renovated the concession stand at a local baseball park at no cost.
  • Built and installed a wheelchair ramp for a handicapped child and his family.
  • Donated a handicap-accessible bicycle to a young boy, enabling him to ride around with his sisters and friends.

We are honored to be a part of this community. We hope that our love for our neighbors, respect for the environment, and dedication to making our community a great place to live is evident in everything we do.
