As a truly local business, we continue to invest in our community. We’re in this business to help shape the place we’ve all chosen to settle our families and raise our kids. We employ people who share our values of community service and understand that our community cannot move forward without giving back.
For the last three years, different members of the MasterCraft family participated in the annual “Tips for Kids Sake” fundraiser. The event provides an opportunity for restaurant patrons throughout St. Johns County to enjoy a great dinner, be entertained and support a good cause, all at the same time! This ever-popular event places local “Celebrity Waiters” at local participating restaurants, where they work to wait tables and collect tips. Then, all tips are donated back to Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County. With more than 160 celebrity waiters working at 26 restaurants this year, we were able to raise more than $80,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County.
Big Brothers Big Sisters Programs
“Tips” is the major fundraiser of the year for Big Brothers Big Sisters of St. Johns County. All funds raised goes to expand mentoring programs throughout St. Johns County, allowing BBBS to reach more kids in the community. They place children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better, forever. Mentoring has been proven to be a substance abuse prevention strategy as studies show that children who are mentored are less likely to experiment with drugs or alcohol.
MasterCraft Celebrity Waiters
We appreciate and recognize Dennis DeMott, Amy Lingenfelser, Christina Heinz, and Mark Wolfe who donated their time and served as celebrity waiters at Bogey Grille in Ponte Vedra Beach.
These local celebs were tasked with recruiting their family, friends and colleagues to come and sit in their section during “Tips for Kids Sake” event. They also dressed in accordance with the sports theme of Bogey Grille. In the past, our team members dressed as celebrities, politicians, and superheroes.
Thanks to this fantastic four, the MasterCraft team raised more than $2,500 in tips. To date, MasterCraft employees raised over $5,000 to help children realize their potential and build their future.
