We value our real estate agents immensely. It’s your expertise, guidance, and integrity that helps homebuyers weigh all the options of one of the biggest decisions they’ll make in their lives.
As we all know by now, the National Association of Realtors® (NAR) reached a settlement that changes the way broker commissions work. It mainly affects the MLS databases governed by the NAR and no longer allows sellers to advertise a commission to a buyers’ agent via MLS. We all learned about the decision in real-time from the news and other outlets.
While the details and their impact are still not totally clear, we do know this: MasterCraft Builder Group will continue to pay commissions to our homebuyers’ realtors.
“Our local real estate agents have always been advocates and supporters of MasterCraft.” remarked Chris Shee, MasterCraft Builder Group CEO and Founder. “We believe in the value, guidance, and expertise these agents bring with a new construction build. Additionally, we do not believe that their compensation should fall on the shoulders of homebuyers who are already facing larger down payments and closing expenses. We will continue to compensate realtors for the pivotal role they play in the home buying process”
According to NAR, the average agent earns between $45,000 and $58,000 annually. They work long hours with few days off and make themselves available at all hours to help their homebuyers succeed. They thoroughly understand the process that their clients may experience only a couple of times in their lives, protecting and guiding buyers and sellers to the best outcome for their clients.
