This year, MasterCraft Builder Group was honored to be named one of the “Companies With Heart” by Jacksonville Magazine. This is the magazine’s tenth annual salute to Northeast Florida businesses that place community spirit and charitable giving at the forefront of their models for success.
From the Magazine
“Each year for a decade now, Jacksonville Magazine has sought to recognize local businesses – both big and small – that are undertaking extraordinary community outreach efforts. Those efforts can be through volunteering, monetary donations, and myriad other activities, so long as the goal is to help make Northeast Florida a better place to call home. We recognize these commercial enterprises with our Companies With Heart honors and feature article.
All of the businesses highlighted are making a positive, measurable difference. Though the industries they represent are varied, ranging from health care to real estate to financial services and more, each makes a true contribution to bettering our region, and they do so as part of their everyday business philosophy. Some count tens of thousands of employees, others have staffs that would hardly fill a pair of minivans. Regardless of their size, we’re lucky to have them as part of our city and region.”
MasterCraft Builder Group
We pride ourselves on Higher Standards, our Four C’s: Craftsmanship, Choice, Customer Service, and Community. The fourth C, Community, is the most important to our team. Each year, MasterCraft foots the bill for a fundraising event called Clays for a Cause, a clay shooting competition that brings together the local building community to raise money for area nonprofits. This past year, we raised more than $225,000 for multiple North Florida charities, including Seamark Ranch, St. Augustine Youth Services (SAYS), Alpha-Omega Miracle Home, Rethreaded, Catholic Charities, HorsePlay Therapy Center, Investing in Kids (INK!), Jacksonville Arts and Music School (JAMS), The Jimmy Jam BBQ Slam, Port in the Storm, St. Augustine Police Athletic League and Top Shots.
Our President and founder Chris Shee also puts on Concerts for a Cause, a fundraiser at his events venue, The Tringali Barn at Heritage Farms. The fundraiser brings in big-name musicians (such as Diamond Rio and Easton Corbin) to the stage to raise funds for nonprofits like Alpha-Omega Miracle Home ($72k) and St. Augustine Youth Services ($73k). Chris is also a big supporter of Rethreaded, a Jacksonville-based nonprofit that provides employment opportunities to survivors of human trafficking and has donated a substantial amount on a personal basis.
A huge thank you to Jacksonville Magazine for recognizing our company and founder for striving to improve the lives of our community members!
