When Jason and his wife Suzanne “Peach” Parrish, moved into their family home back in 2011, they had no idea that we’d be celebrating the ten years later as one of MasterCraft’s first homebuyers! Located in the Bartram Springs community, Jason, Peach, and their three children reside in the second home MasterCraft Builder Group has ever built. Ten years later, the family remains pleased with their purchase.
Before they were MasterCraft homeowners, Jason and Peach lived in Jacksonville near the St. Johns Town Center. “Once we had our first child, we realized we needed more space,” explained Jason. “We knew we wanted a newer home, and our realtor was familiar with the area and the owners of MasterCraft. Our home and the neighborhood had everything we were looking for, and it’s kept us happy for the past ten years.”
For the Parrish’s, one of the biggest perks was the chance to move into a new construction home. “We’re happy with our decision,” said Peach. “It just happened to be the right time that we were looking, and we loved the neighborhood. We knew if we chose this house, we’d be moving into a new construction home, which was a huge benefit.” With four bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a screened-in back porch, this home has stood the test of time and has been adjustable to the family’s ever-growing needs.
Working with MasterCraft – Then and Now
Anyone familiar with MasterCraft knows that we are committed to our Four C’s: Choice, Craftsmanship, Community, and Customer Service. While MasterCraft has grown exponentially over the years, our values have remained consistent. We will always provide our customers with an experience that keeps them loving their home year after year.
“As far as working with MasterCraft, they were easy to work with and also very receptive to our requests, even after we moved in,” said Jason. “Any time a problem would arise, they would come over and fix it for us.”
Besides converting the home office to a nursery and updating paint colors, the Parrish family has not had to undergo any major renovations since moving in ten years ago. Because the home already had its framework put together when the Parrish’s found it, Jason and Peach were not able to customize any layout features. However, they did have the opportunity to customize certain home features such as the flooring and the addition of a screened-in patio.
While their home has undoubtedly stood the test of time, the Parrish’s favorite home feature has been the community. Bartram Springs provides an array of amenities for the family to enjoy, from playgrounds, swimming pools, gym, fields, dog parks, volleyball, tennis courts, and much more. “We love this neighborhood,” said Peach. “It’s great for our kids, and our space in the backyard is wonderful. We always have something to do, whether it’s fishing from the lake, bonfires in the backyard, taking walks, or trips to the dog park. We never feel stuck.”
Looking Toward the Future
While their home has easily adapted to the growing family over the years, the Parrish’s are looking toward the future. “When we first moved in, there were only three of us, but now there are five,” said Peach. “We imagine moving toward a bigger space in the future and enjoying new construction perks such as new kitchen features and extra rooms. However, the community comes first. It’s important to us that we feel at home in our community.”
We’re so grateful to the Parrish family for celebrating 10 Years with MasterCraft and can’t wait to see what the future holds for their next home.
