I love it when people ask me: Why MasterCraft? Why should I build with you guys? I’m eager to respond with some of the features that I used to charge an upgrade fee for when I worked with other builders, things that are standard with MasterCraft. Like our double-pane vinyl windows that don’t sweat and cause mildew on the sills, our smooth walls that make the bumpy “Orange Peel” finishes that most builders use look like rumpled laundry next to a clean pressed white shirt. It’s a big deal that we build our exterior walls with 2×6 inch framing instead of the typical 2×4. Not only does that provide better insulation and energy efficiency, it’s quieter too. But mainly? Those 2×6 studs make for a very strong house.
But from where I sit, that’s not the primary reason to build with MasterCraft. Here’s three more.
1) They’re smart. While most builders “sub-out” the counters, cabinets and flooring, Mastercraft does all of that in-house. No more control issues and frustrations. Everyone benefits. Heck, they will even build your pool.
2) They’re flexible. MasterCraft is a semi-custom builder. You want to make some changes to a floor-plan? Great! Tell us what you want!
3) Their character. And this is the most important one. Remember how Dr Martin Luther King used to speak of the importance of the “content of a persons character”? Well, that’s why I work here. The owners have great character, they’re good guys with a ton of experience, and they all lead by example. It’s an awesome group of people who really care about their work, and they have one crazy idea in common.
They simply want to do the best job possible. No corporate red tape, no “bait and switch” with an inexpensive home that appears to be a bargain…until you start adding all those upgrades that MasterCraft includes as standard.
Our best advertising is word-of-mouth, so come into one of our neighborhoods and ask a neighbor who lives in a MasterCraft home just how they like it. Don’t be surprised if they brag as if it were all their own doing, with Mastercraft, it pretty much is!
